LOCAL FEDERAL ELECTION DEBATE TO TAKE PLACE ONLINE

The Nipissing University Political Science Program and the Nipissing University Student Union will be hosting an online federal election debate on Tuesday, September 7th at 7pm via Zoom. This will be open to the public.

Candidates from the local Conservative Party, Green Party, Liberal Party, NDP, and the People’s Party have been invited to participate. Questions about the environment, economy, education, Indigenous issues, foreign policy and healthcare/COVID will be asked.

The debate will be moderated by Tanya Matthews, a political science student at Nipissing University, located on the treaty territories of the Nipissing First Nation. Tanya is from the Algonquin Nation, Abitibi Anishinabek (Algonquin and Cree descent) from Wahgoshig First Nation.
