Farmer’s Market

The North Bay Farmers’ Market is made up of various local farmers, crafters, and artists. They provide the community with a variety of quality, locally gown, and handmade products. All sourced within a 100 km area around the market. The North Bay Farmer’s Market is located in the Downtown Civic Square from the long weekend in May to Thanksgiving. Downtown Christmas Walk

Mark the beginning of the holiday season at The Annual Old Fashioned Christmas Walk in downtown North Bay! Here you can enjoy the night’s festivities including the Christmas Tree Lighting, Horse & Wagon Rides, Snowboard Competition, roasted chestnuts, music and much, much more!

Santa Claus Parade

The Santa Claus Parade is a community event that brings together local organizations, businesses and community partners to showcase their talents based on the years’ theme, and a guest appearance of Santa Claus.

Culture Days

Culture Days raises the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. Hundreds of thousands of artists, cultural workers, organizations and groups, volunteers and supporters host free public activities that take place in cities throughout the country over the last weekend of September each year. Armed Forces Day

Armed Forces Day recognizes the dedication and professionalism of all military personnel currently serving in the City of North Bay.  It also provides the military an opportunity to showcase equipment highlight training and military demonstrations by various units to the City of North Bay and surrounding areas. At this event, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds Demonstration team dominate the skies over North Bay along with round displays of army vehicles and equipment, and a parade led by North Bay’s Legion Branch 23 Pipes and Drums.

Canada Day

July 1st marks the anniversary of Canada’s Confederation. Celebrate and join in on the festivities such as a road race, sailboat regatta, museum exhibits, multicultural showcase, soccer game, cake cutting ceremony and much more!

Families First

Ring in the New Year in North Bay at the free family event. Enjoy skating, inflatable land, swimming, coloring contest, bingo and live entertainment all culminating with a large firework display.

Powassan Maple Syrup Festival

The Powassan Maple Syrup Festival’s 20th anniversary will be held on April 27, 20179. The event includes main stage music, sheep shearing demo, cooking demos, pancake breakfast, lumberjack shows, and much more. Shuttle Buses run 9:00 am to 4:00 pm – Bus Stop for pick up and drop off (250 Clark St) – just east of the Library.  Buses will run from Clark Street to off site parking on Highway 534 and on to Matthews Sugar Bush and back – all day long. Kiwanis Music Festival

The Kiwanis Music Festival committee will be hosting the 54th Annual North Bay Kiwanis Music Festival on April 23- May 3, 2019. The Kiwanis Music Festival is a celebration of the arts where participants compete in categories such as Piano, Voice, Strings, Guitar, Choir, Band and Instruments and share their musical talent with our community. Rib Fest

At the North Bay Ribfest, 3 Award-Winning Rib Teams compete for your taste buds! There is Live Music ALL DAY long will keep everyone dancing! A variety of exciting Vendors will be on site offering high quality products for you and your family. Take part in the Family Playland with Inflatables, a Rock Climbing Wall, a 50-foot Zip line & Dunk Tank.

Film Festival

The NBFF celebrates the art of film in Northern Ontario and beyond! It features international, Canadian and local films along with panel discussions, receptions, workshops and industry events. The Near North Mobile Media Lab and North Bay Film present the North Bay Film Festival in partnership with the City of North Bay and Canadore College. The annual ON THE EDGE Fringe Festival is a programmed showcase of literary, theatre, and dance performances responding to yearly themes that accompanies a 12 show presentation of fringe performances. The festival supports local artists that create pieces taking on all shapes and forms, thus making each piece incredibly unique.
