Description: 
Students who see Louie The Laker in the hallway can take a picture with him. To enter to a win a prize you must tag @nusutalks on social media. You can take pictures with Louie every day and be entered into the draw to win a prize that will be announced at 3pm each day through Instagram stories.

There is a prize every day to be won!

Description: 
Students can walk by and paint their hand to put on the banner, signing their name beside it. The banner will be put up in Lakers Lane on Friday at the Pep Rally.

Description: 
Stop by the NU Hallway and see artwork and research from students. Thinking about going into post-grad studies? This is also a great way to see some of the amazing research being done on our campus.  


Date: Wednesday, January 15th

10am – 3pm
Location: NU Hallway (Bookstore)
Description: 
Learn about getting involved on campus! Find out more information about the NUSU Elections, NUSU Crew, Record of Student Development, Relay For Life, Intramural Sports, International Student Mentorship Program etc. You can also find out information about jobs on campus and in the community from Yes Employment and On-Campus Employment.

Location: NU Hallway (Bookstore)
Description: 
Learn about clubs and societies and how to join. There will be clubs in the hallway with more information of how to join and what they do. Looking to start a club? Contact [email protected]

Date: Thursday, January 16th
Time: 7pm-9pm
Location: Main Cafeteria
Description: This is a FREE event and all Nipissing University students are welcome. Learn about consent and other topics while playing a fun game. This is in partnership with Consent Belongs Here and the Equity Centre.
Prizes: There are tons of sexy prizes to be won.

Date: Friday, January 17th

Lakers Lane
Time: 5pm – 10pm
Location: Athletics Centre Hallway
Description: There will be a photo booth, face painting, Pink Shoot For The Cure fundraising table, Relay for Life t-shirts, game tickets, cash bar, spirit table, prize table and more!

Pep Rally
Time: 5:30pm – 6pm
Location: Athletics Centre
Description: Show your Lakers Pride by dressing up in blue and green. There will be a Nipissing Lakers versus Laurentian Voyageurs cheer off!

Women’s Basketball
Time: 6pm
Location: Gym B/C – Athletics Centre
Description: The Women’s Basketball Team will be playing the Laurentian Voyageurs. They will also be raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society!

Men’s Basketball
Time: 8pm
Location: Gym B/C – Athletics Centre
Description: The Men’s Basketball Team will be playing the Laurentian Voyageurs. Take part in a bean bag toss to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. Awesome tickets to be won!

Event Time: 10pm – 2:30am
Location: The Summit Nightclub
Description: After the basketball games head to The Summit!

Buses will be looping from 9:30pm – 2:30am at the following locations:

  • Kia (Gormanville)
  • Governors House Residence
  • Lower Residence
  • Lucky 13 (McKeown)
  • The Summit

You must have your Nipissing student ID in order to use the bus.
