Generation Google Scholarship

Women TechMakers Scholarship

  • Have a high school degree or equivalent
  • Currently be enrolled at an accredited university for the 2019-2020 academic year
  • Intend to be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada for the 2020-2021 academic year
  • Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field OR be studying video game programming, game engineering, game design and development, or a closely related field in gaming
  • Demonstrate a strong academic record
  • Exemplify leadership and demonstrate passion for increasing the involvement of women in technology (i.e. computer science or gaming)

Adobe Research Women-in-Technology Scholarship

  • Be a female student currently enrolled as an undergraduate (2nd year or above) or masters student at a university for the 2019-2020 academic year.  First year undergraduate students are not eligible.  Students must have completed at least one year of university education.
  • Intend to be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or masters student at a university for the 2020-2021 academic year.
  • Be majoring in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Maintain a strong academic record
  • Not have a close relative working for Adobe Research.

RBC Capital Markets Diversity Scholarship

  • Individuals who identify as any one of the following:
    • Women

  • Students of full-time undergraduate studies graduating in December 2020 or Spring 2021, from an accredited university in Canada

CFUW Aboriginal Women’s Award

  • Canadian Aboriginal woman
  • Studying in Canada
  • Holds or will hold an undergraduate university degree or equivalent before the CFUW AWA for which she has applied is granted
  • Must have applied to be a full-time student in any year of an eligible program at a recognized or accredited Canadian postsecondary degree-granting institution
    • Programs leading to a first degree in law – Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.); Juris Doctor (JD).
    • Programs leading to the following degrees in medicine – Medical Doctor (MD); Doctor of Optometry (OD).
    • Programs leading to qualifying for a license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the province or territory of the graduate’s choice.
    • Programs leading to a Master’s degree in fields dealing with important Canadian aboriginal issues at the time the AWA is given as defined by the most recent Canadian report by the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the rights of indigenous peoples.

NWAC Helen Besset Awards 

  • Award is intended for Indigenous women, Two Spirit and gender diverse youth under 31 years of age; 
  • You must be pursuing a post-secondary education, with priority given to those in a law or justice related field 
  • You must demonstrate a financial need; and, 
  • Students must demonstrate a commitment to improving the well-being of Indigenous women, Two-Spirit and gender diverse people in Canada politically, culturally, economically or otherwise.

Mayor Andrée P. Boucher Memorial Scholarship

  • In a cover letter, tell us how you have been involved in campus or community activities related to women’s issues.
  • Submit a research paper you presented on issues related to women in politics, in any order of government.
  • You must demonstrate how your area of study impacts on getting women involved in all orders of government.
  • Special consideration will be given if there is a focus on municipal government.
  • Value: $4,500

“You Look Attractive” Scholarship Program for Female Students

  • To enter this contest, choose from one of the following three topics and write an essay of 600 – 1000 words.

BBPA National Fund

  • A member of the Canadian Black community (i.e. a Black person of discernible African ancestry and you self identify as Black/African- Canadian/African-Caribbean/African-American);

William Peyton Hubbard Award

  • Canadian citizens or landed immigrants enrolled in full time study in an accredited Ontario University.
  • The Awards will be given to a Black female and a Black male student who has completed a minimum of one year in an undergraduate program in one of the following areas: Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering/Technology, Engineering Science, Forestry, or Business.
  • Of good academic standing with a strong GPA (B-).
  • Have demonstrated leadership skills with involvement in extra-curricular activities within the community or campus
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Students must be returning to school on a full time basis

Trinidad & Tobago Association of Ontario Scholarship

  • Applicant must be a Canadian citizen/ landed immigrant pursuing an undergraduate degree or diploma.
  • Applicant whose parent(s), guardian(s), grandparent(s) are of Caribbean background. 
  • Applicant must hold a Secondary School diploma and is currently enrolled in full time studies at a Canadian College or University.

RBC Indigenous Summer Internship

  • Students wishing to apply must be Indigenous/Aboriginal Peoples of Canada (Status Indian, Non-Status Indian, Inuit or Métis) and enrolled in any two year or longer post-secondary program.

Kathleen Blinkhorn Aboroginal Student Scholarship 

  • Must identify as Aboriginal
  • must be living in non-profit housing* in Ontario
  • must be enrolled in a program at a recognized college, university or private trade school

ONECA Scholarships – Aboriginal 

  • Full-time Post Secondary student of aboriginal ancestry in their second year of their field of study
  • Must have successfully completed their first year in a program that has a counselling component at an

The TransCanada Indigenous Legacy Scholarship 

  • Aboriginal – near TransCanada’s proposed projects, projects under construction and/or operating assets
  • You are a Canadian or American citizen or permanent resident

Bank of Canada Work Placement 

  • Student must be studying economics, computer science, mathematics or statistics, commerce/business administration with a finance major – Administration and Operations: financial services, administration and business, project management, human resources, communications and web, internal audit, currency production, knowledge and information management, security – Information Technology and Cyber Security: software development, network engineering, solution architecture, project management, business analysis, cyber security

Husky Energy Aboriginal Scholarships

Mensa Canada Awards 

  • Applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants enrolled in a full-time program at a Canadian post-secondary institution, accredited by the applicable provincial Ministry of Education, during the 2019 – 2020 academic year.
  • A full-time program is defined by consecutive Fall and Winter semesters.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old by the end of the current year.

Terry Fox Humanitarian Awards

  • In good academic standing.
  • Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.
  • Students graduating from secondary (high) school or students completing their first year of CÉGEP or students who have completed secondary (high) school
  • Involved in voluntary humanitarian activities (for which they have not been compensated).
  • Planning to or are already studying towards their first university degree or diploma at a Canadian post-secondary institution, or entering their 2nd year of CÉGEP in the upcoming academic year.

Nahom Berhane Scholarship

  • Are registered to attend a post-secondary institution (in any year)
  • Have lived in the GTA for at least 2 years
  • Hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
  • Have a proven track record of community involvement/volunteerism
  • Have demonstrated leadership in their community/are community mobilisers
  • Make a positive contribution to the city

Lincoln M. Alexander Award 

  • Your nominee must be between the ages of 16 and 25 and a resident of Ontario

Loblaw Scholarship 

  • You must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time diploma or full-time
  • undergraduate degree-seeking course of study at a publicly-funded university or college
  • You must hold a minimum average of 70% in your previous year of study at a Canadian publicly funded university or college
  • Demonstrated participation in volunteer activities
  • You must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
  • Value: $1500

MLD Annual Scholarship 

  • Must be a Canadian or American Citizens.
  • You must be enrolled and about to begin studies, currently studying, or have completed your program in the last 12 months in a recognised, Canadian or American post-secondary education institution.

CST Learning Matters Bursary

James Lee Foundation

  • The scholarship is open to emerging creative talent from across Canada wanting to enter the advertising industry. 
  • Entrants must be non-professional Canadian residents over the age of 16. 
  • All fields of creativity related to the advertising community will be considered (e.g. writers, art directors, film makers, recording artists, illustrators, digital artists, etc.).
