The NUSU Crew are a group of Nipissing students who are dedicated to informing the student body about issues impacting students, and events happening on campus. The goal of the crew is to encourage involvement and teamwork on campus.
The NUSU Crew is composed of two teams, one focusing on awareness and campaigns, and the other focusing on promotions and events.
The first group addresses issues such as alcohol and drugs use, human rights, sexual health, reducing tuition fees, violence, and discrimination, among others. A university education is not just about lectures and term papers, but also remaining healthy and promoting a positive environment. Students should be informed and empowered to take action against issues that affect them.
The second group assists with coordinating social events for students at Nipissing University. Some of the events include trips, guest speakers, and any other great ideas you have. The goal is to promote events, talk to students to ask their ideas, and have a good time doing it!
In addition to this, NUSU Crew participates in community initiatives such as CIBC Run For The Cure, shovelling people’s driveways, and collecting canned goods for the food bank.
